The Secret behind the secret
The 2006 self-help book ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne is based on the law of attraction. The universal law that allows you to manifest your thoughts into reality. The Law of Attraction is always working: changing thoughts into things. Some things take longer to manifest than others.
The book has sold more than 19 millions copies and has been translated into 46 languages -(source: Wilkipedia). Despite the success of the book and film, manifesting what you want takes practice. When you start to visualise a sports car, 5 minutes later, a porsche doesn’t just randomly appear outside your door.
You have to understand that when you try to manifest something that you don’t believe is possible, you are attracting more doubt and lack of belief surrounding the thing that you are trying to manifest. The law of attraction is sensitive to your feelings and always attracts more of the same energy back to you.
The truth is that the ‘Law of attraction’ is not the only Universal law at play. In fact, the ‘law of vibration’ acts in conjunction with the ‘law of attraction’. The ‘Law of vibration’ is the primary law and ‘the law of attraction’ is secondary.
The Law of vibration explained
The law of vibration is not as well known as the law of attraction. Quantum physics shows us that everything in the universe is made up of energy vibrating at different speeds or frequencies.

The ‘Law of vibration’ is the fundamental law that everything in the universe is in a constant state of motion. Energy is constantly changing vibrational state.
E-motion – (energy in motion)
I think of emotion as energy in motion. When you feel good, you are in a high vibrational state. When you feel down, you are in a low vibration. The key is becoming aware of how you feel, so that you can concentrate on feeling good more often.
It is important to feel good as much as possible because this puts you in a high vibration. You always attract more of what energetic vibration you are in harmony with. This is why it is important to enjoy life and think about good feeling thoughts.
Drop the ‘how’
It is normal to experience negative thoughts and emotions. When you consciously think exactly how you are going to manifest your big goal or vision, this can lead to overwhelm and anxiety. This is because your conscious mind can’t work it all out ! When the vision is so exciting but frightening at the same time, it is too much for your conscious mind to process.
The conscious mind can only be aware of a handful of things at any one time. Forget the future and focus on the present moment. For now, let go of your vision for the future and focus on what you are doing at this moment. The conscious mind will work better by focusing on the task at hand. There can always be separate time for planning and visualising etc
Worrying about your future results, will cause your conscious mind to struggle. This creates stress and tension. Be fully engaged on the task that you are doing and let go of the future plans and worries. When you are always truly immersed on what you are doing right now, life becomes easier.
Lighten up and drop the ‘how’, then you will feel much better. You will have so much more energy and passion for what you are doing now.
